Shih Tzu are a perfect blend of glam and athletic prowess. They have a short muzzle but a large head. This little dog breed is obsessed with cuddling and receiving attention. Owing to their small size, Shih Tzu make a good pet choice if you lack a backyard or live in an apartment. They don’t need a lot of exercise and shed a lot less than other breeds. This dog breed first appeared in ancient China around 1000 B.C., when Tibetans presented it to the Chinese royalty as a gift. Seven male and seven female Shih Tzu were used to rebuild the breed after their dwindling in the early 20th century.
